**About the role/team: **
We are actively seeking a highly driven Senior Technical Product Manager to join our Content Personalization & Channels team. This role will be located in our Lisbon, Portugal office and is a hybrid role. In this pivotal role, we're looking for someone who is super technical yet obsessively customer-focused. You will own Iterable’s Mobile and Web SDKs as a core platform surface, ensuring they set a high bar for developer experience, reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
Our SDKs are foundational to how customers capture real-time signals, identify users, and execute orchestrated experiences across channels. As such, this role sits at the intersection of developer experience, system reliability, and customer value, requiring strong technical judgment and a platform mindset.
Moreover, you will be responsible not only for feature delivery, but also for SDK lifecycle management, including versioning strategy, backward compatibility, deprecation planning, and safe rollout of breaking changes.
Our Product Team thrives on collaboration with Design and Engineering, always prioritizing user empathy. You'll be right there with us, working hand-in-hand and directly with our customers, to identify and prioritize product features that will significantly impact Iterable's business. You'll take ownership of a broad product portfolio and its associated roadmap, consistently delivering delightful and innovative experiences to our customers. This role requires deep technical expertise and a willingness to dive deep with Engineering, Customer Success, and our Solutions team.
You’ll be deeply comfortable working with APIs and SDKs, but equally passionate about usability. You will work closely with design on the user experience and how customers interact with our product as well as directly impact the experience developers have when integrating with our platform. We want someone who is invested in the growth and success of both Iterable and our customers. You will report to the Group PM, Content Personalization & Channels.

In This Role You’ll Get To:
- Define and evolve the long-term strategy for Iterable’s Mobile and Web SDKs, balancing innovation with stability.
- Partner with Engineering to ensure SDKs meet enterprise-grade standards for reliability, performance, and scale.
- Drive improvements in developer productivity, integration speed, and time-to-value for customers.
- Make informed tradeoffs between parity, platform consistency, and differentiated innovation.
- Be the unwavering internal "voice of the customer."
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other PMs to ship outstanding products.
- Understand customer personas and use cases to define precise product requirements and deliver new features and enhancements.
- Develop comprehensive use cases and determine product specifications to launch new features and enhancements.
- Maintain thorough documentation of customer needs and product functionality.
- Research industry trends to uncover innovative product features and opportunities.
We Are Looking for People Who Have:
- Experience operating as a Senior Product Manager owning a technically complex, customer-facing or developer platform (e.g., SDKs, APIs, infrastructure-adjacent products).
- Experience owning products with strong backward-compatibility and lifecycle constraints.
- Proven ability to partner deeply with engineering on technical tradeoffs and system design.
- Experience supporting enterprise customers at scale, including performance and reliability concerns.
- Experience with mobile technologies, including native (iOS & Android) and cross-platform (React Native, Flutter) development.
- Experience working within agile Engineering teams using tools like JIRA.
- Strong skills in user testing and data analysis.
- Experience making informed decisions based on business and technical data.
- Comfort and adaptability in a dynamic, changing environment.
- Exceptional ability to solve complex technical problems and partner with engineering to translate customer needs.

Familiarity with user growth and engagement strategies.
Experience using data analysis tools to derive insights.
Prior work experience in both B2B and B2C markets.
Prior work or familiarity with the development of mobile and web applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product, and design to conceptualize and build new product features.
Be personally responsible for the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial engineering design and planning through development, deployment, and success in production.
Develop solutions to scale a complex platform that reaches millions of users.
Contribute to the code review process by offering suggestions for improvement, helping to define and enforce coding standards.
Leverage design discussions and other team engagements as an opportunity to level up your team and the product.
We are looking for people who have:
- 5+ years relevant software development experience.
- Relevant industry experience building production-ready, scalable web applications.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (ideally Scala and/or Java)
- Extensive experience with Elasticsearch and/or other relevant technologies like Postgres.
- Desire to work in a highly remote/distributed but collaborative environment. (Iterable has offices in San Francisco, Denver, and New York, but the vast majority of Engineering has chosen to work remotely)
- Willingness to take on-call responsibilities.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Legally authorized to work in the EU.
