The Senior Product Manager Tech for Amazon EFS will define and build the future of cloud-based file storage. This role involves end-to-end ownership of current and new features targeting diverse file storage workloads, including machine learning training. The product manager will define the roadmap for new products and features at the intersection of file storage and cloud technologies, focusing on performance, durability, and intelligent tiering. Responsibilities include portfolio strategy, product definition, messaging, pricing, adoption, customer interaction, and sales enablement.

What you'd actually do

  1. own and drive product management across the Amazon EFS portfolio that includes the recently launched Amazon S3 Files,, and integration with other AWS services.
  2. responsible for end-to-end ownership of current and new features targeting a broad spectrum of file storage workloads (ex: content management, web serving, data analytics, machine learning training, home directories, container storage, etc.) across mission critical, enterprise, machine learning, and emerging domains.
  3. work on defining the roadmap for new products and features at the intersection of file storage and cloud technologies (ex: NFS protocol enhancements, performance optimization, data durability, replication, encryption, intelligent tiering, etc.) to help meet critical customer requirements, incentivize new migrations to AWS, and help drive the overall business.
  4. strong ownership over portfolio strategy, product definition, feature prioritization, messaging, pricing, adoption, customer interaction, sales enablement, and team development.
  5. identify and drive operational improvements and cost reductions.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
  • 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
  • 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
  • 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
  • 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
  • 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics
  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies
  • Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • product management experience preferably with IT Infrastructure including storage, file systems, networking and/or Internet business experience.
  • Knowledge of file storage workloads, file system protocols (NFS, SMB), distributed file systems, and cloud storage architectures
  • Knowledge of file storage performance optimization, caching strategies, and storage tiering
