Senior Product Operations Specialist

This role focuses on scaling product operations within a fintech company, managing programs like product launches, new grad rotational programs, and onboarding for Product Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience in Product Operations, Program Management, or Business Operations, with a strong systems thinking and product mindset to improve internal processes and drive cross-functional initiatives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own Mercury's launch operating model, ensuring launches move through review with clear ownership, strong cross-functional coordination, and high quality. Continuously improve launch workflows, review processes, and retrospectives as Mercury scales.
  2. Own Mercury's rotational program for early-career Product Managers. Coordinate rotations, partner with managers and leadership, and evolve the program to deliver an exceptional development experience.
  3. Own the onboarding experience for new Product Managers, helping new hires ramp quickly through thoughtful programming, documentation, and peer connections. Continuously improve the experience based on feedback and organizational needs.
  4. Design and operate programs that strengthen Mercury's product culture, from internal rituals to external events and thought leadership. Partner across Product, Design, Communications, Recruiting, and People to create experiences that scale with the organization.
  5. Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Design, Communications, Recruiting, and People. Create clarity, build alignment, and keep programs moving with momentum.

Skills

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Business Operations, Chief of Staff, Consulting, or a similar cross-functional role, ideally supporting product or engineering organizations in a high-growth technology company.
  • A track record of owning cross-functional programs from concept through execution, balancing strategic thinking with exceptional operational follow-through.
  • Strong systems thinking.
  • An instinct to improve rather than maintain.
  • Excellent judgment and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining a consistently high bar for quality.
