Caterpillar’s CISM division is hiring for Senior Product Procurement Engineer in Peoria, IL!
**Role Summary: **This is a supporting role within EMSM Strategy team, working closely with global EMSM teams and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on key projects, KPI updates, governance, and overall consistent communication, and reporting.
What You’ll Do (Job Duties)
- Act as Governance and Strategy lead within EMSM team
- Coordinate with other EMSM leaders to summarize status of key initiatives and create presentations as necessary for leadership teams
- Work with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
- Managing governance and providing guidance to teams to ensure compliance
- Lead procurement process alignment and benchmarking activities, driving continuous improvement and waste reduction
What You Have (Core Skills)
- Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Knowledge of the principles and tools used in cost-benefit analysis; ability to analyze the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.
- Strategic Sourcing: Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.
- Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes.

- Strong PowerPoint and Power BI skills
- Knowledge of multiple levels of Business
- Data analytics capabilities
- Ability to act with a sense of urgency and build communications for various levels of leadership

- Work location: IL-Peoria-Building AB Office

- This position requires 5 days per week in the office (M-F)
Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
