Senior Product Quality Engineer — Android

Adobe Adobe · Enterprise · San Jose, CA

Senior Product Quality Engineer for Adobe's Android mobile video creation and editing team. The role focuses on ensuring features work as expected from a user's perspective, validating workflows, and using AI-assisted and agentic tooling to enhance test coverage and identify edge cases. The engineer will own quality from design to release, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Test Android features hands‑on, validating end‑to‑end workflows across a diverse set of devices, screen sizes, OEMs, and Android OS versions.
  2. Serve as the first user for new features—identifying usability gaps, confusing interactions, missing states, performance issues, and edge cases before they reach production.
  3. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure test coverage reflects how people actually use Android apps, not just happy‑path scenarios.
  4. Create and execute test plans across functional, usability, regression, and exploratory testing—adapting focus as features evolve and timelines shift.
  5. Contribute to continuous quality improvement by helping the team learn from regressions, production issues, direct customer feedback and write actionable bug reports.
