Senior Product Review Engineer (liaison Engineering)

This role involves reviewing product issues and developing engineering solutions for the KC-46 Tanker program, focusing on material review board (MRB) processes and ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of aircraft. It requires experience in aerospace systems, production engineering, and interpreting engineering drawings.

What you'd actually do

  1. Applies knowledge of Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
  2. Analyzes, conducts failure analysis, root cause analysis and troubleshoots to understand root cause and develop repair disposition of non-conformances.
  3. Applies knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to postproduction product/process issues and/or for technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
  4. Supports activities to identify deviations that could impact design intent and safety and product/process improvements.
  5. Provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Material Review Board (MRB) certification
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace systems or structures
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Engineering and/or Production System Design
  • 5+ years of experience performing Material Review Board (MRB) product review
  • 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

Nice to have

  • Experience performing stress analysis
  • Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes
  • 5+ years of experience applying knowledge of design principles to assess and resolve product issues through the product lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience with developing dispositions for aircraft non-conformances
  • Currently have an active U.S. “Secret” Security Clearance
  • Experience interfacing with Operations and Engineering disciplines, as well as being able to work in a team environment or to work independently.
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with internal team members, management, customers, and other cross-departmental teams
  • Universal Product Review (UPR) Certification
