Senior Product Sourcing Engineer

This role is for a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer at Anduril, a defense technology company. The engineer will be responsible for strategic supply network development and cost management of the company's product hardware throughout its lifecycle. This involves collaborating with suppliers and internal teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing) on supplier selection, product development acceleration, BOM management, CAPEX management, value-stream mapping, risk assessment, component qualification, complexity reduction, cost engineering, and managing cost issues like tariffs and inflation. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering or related fields, and domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO. A U.S. Secret security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct supplier selection for a specific product, leveraging our approved supplier list
  2. Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development via activities such as:
  3. Drive the development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, working with Quality & Manufacturing, to ramp production internally and with our suppliers with high flexibility
  4. Manage the CAPEX throughout NPI
  5. Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
