Senior Program Lead, Digital Fraud & Abuse

GEICO is seeking a Senior Program Lead to drive efforts for their Digital Fraud & Abuse team. This role involves partnering with engineers, product, and business stakeholders to build scalable solutions leveraging industry-standard technologies. The lead will standardize capabilities for intelligent decision-making to respond to emerging threats, focusing on identity, authentication, abuse prevention, and customer risk management. Experience with machine learning and heuristic fraud signals is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive cross-functional execution and prioritization for fraud prevention projects spanning identity, authentication, abuse prevention, and customer risk management.
  2. Act as the primary liaison for engineering initiatives addressing digital fraud and abuse.
  3. Translate engineering requirements into clear technical products for multiple engineering teams.
  4. Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to define project scope, mitigate obstacles, and ensure successful implementation progress.
  5. Facilitate technical kickoff meetings by presenting the implementation plan and achieving consensus on scope, timeline, and integration specifications.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years in project management and solutions engineering within digital fraud, abuse prevention, identity risk, and related fields.
  • Demonstrated strong technical proficiency, including the ability to understand APIs, data workflows, customer environments, and effectively translate requirements for engineering teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of account takeover, social engineering, and authentication risk.
  • Proven track record of driving organizational change through influence in large, matrixed environments.
  • Experience working with data and technology teams to build machine learning and heuristic fraud signals and rules.
  • Experience partnering closely with product and engineering teams on platform evolution
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, committed to continuous improvement, and capable of taking ownership of projects with minimal supervision.
