What you'd actually do

  1. Define and develop key performance indicators, operational metrics, and service level agreements for programs and processes, tracking delivery against global objectives
  2. Partner with leadership to consolidate inputs, challenge assumptions on performance drivers and projections from stakeholders, and maintain effective relationships between Finance Operations, Service Centers, and Transportation businesses
  3. Analyze critical data sets to trace defect areas to root causes, scope future state solutions, influence roadmap decisions, and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions
  4. Solve complex customer, process, and system escalations to ensure thorough root cause analysis and effective problem resolution
  5. Identify and quantify financial and operational risks and opportunities while recommending practices to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with internal and external policies

Skills

Required

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Nice to have

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience in solving business problems through machine learning, data mining and statistical algorithms
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
  • 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
