This role is for a Senior Program Manager within the Microsoft Windows & Devices team, focusing on silicon planning and partnerships. The individual will define and drive strategies for collaborating with silicon companies, evaluate silicon technology and IP, manage business deals and contracts, and foster relationships with partners and internal teams to align roadmaps and investments. The role requires a strong background in product management, business development, or engineering within hardware or software technology products, with a preference for experience in semiconductors and consumer electronics.

  1. Define and drive strategies for partnering with silicon companies.
  2. Drive the process to evaluate opportunities for silicon technology and IP.
  3. Define business frameworks and drive complex business deals and contracts.
  4. Define and drive internal and external processes to work effectively with partners, including driving the rhythm of business with internal and partner executive teams to realize strategic objectives.
  5. Develop effective relationships across partner organizations and drive day-to-day engagement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years' experience with software or hardware technology products working in product management, business development, technical sales, or engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience defining and driving complex strategic partnerships with enterprise-scale organizations, including high-value contracts.
  • 4+ years of industry experience working in a matrixed environment, demonstrating effective cross-team and cross-function collaboration and influence.
  • 4+ years of experience demonstrating effective written and verbal communication and collaboration (directly or indirectly) with executive leadership to drive alignment and decision-making.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years' experience with software or hardware technology products working in product management, business development, technical sales, or engineering.
  • 8+ years industry experience in semiconductors and silicon, PC’s, or consumer electronics.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and nurturing key stakeholder relationships, including proficiency in storytelling and influencing skills.
