This role is for a Senior Program Manager responsible for the long-term design, planning, and monitoring of Amazon's last-mile delivery network in Japan. What you'd actually do

  1. Design the short-mid-long term network and develop the plan to support the geographical and services expansion of Amazon delivery network in Japan, in line with strategic goals.
  2. Anticipate future capacity needs and define how to re-organize the network to meet customers’ demand.
  3. Identify opportunities to optimize the Amazon transportation network, balancing delivery accuracy, speed and cost.
  4. Provide reports and analyses through tools, portals and databases (Redshift, SQL, Excel, and/or other data management systems) to allow full visibility of both the plan and our execution against it.
  5. Leverage in-house tools and internal data to perform simulation analysis and assess the network behavior under different scenarios.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, managing end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English

Nice to have

  • 4+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese
