Senior Programs Director for Northrop Grumman's Airborne Multifunction Sensors Division, leading a Restricted Operating Unit. The role involves P&L responsibility, program strategy and execution across all program phases, team leadership, customer relationship management, and business development. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree with significant program management experience and an active Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Builds and leverages a strong partnership with cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives in a matrix organizational environment
  2. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, risk/opportunity management, identifies and resolves complex program problems
  3. Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
  4. Cultivates a positive employee experience in a high-pressure environment by focusing on engagement, recognition, retention initiatives and professional development
  5. Demonstrates strong communication skills to deliver executive briefings internally and externally to customers, leaders and other program stakeholders

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree 12 or more years of program management or related experience; OR Master's degree with 10 or more years of program management or related experience
  • Profit & Loss experience with an integrated program team
  • Proposal leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and/or organizations to achieve a common goal, exceptional collaboration skills in a matrix environment
  • Experience leading and executing in demanding high visibility roles with evidence of being able to create an inclusive work environment that attracts retains and inspires diverse engaged teams
  • Demonstrated ability to foster existing customer relationships and develop new customer relationships
  • Experience leading DoW programs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive strategy, and critical thinking to resolve complex problems
  • Experience generating and briefing senior level (i.e. executives) internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Must be a US citizen with an Active DoW Secret Clearance and ability to obtain special access clearances; Or DoE equivalent and ability to obtain special access clearances

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in engineering and/or business administration
  • Expertise in Full Life Cycle (early S&T, EMD, Production & Sustainment) of program execution to lead the performance of tasks on schedule and at cost
  • Competitive capture experience
