What you'd actually do

  1. Leads cross-functional engineering teams focused on Product Development across all IPTs.
  2. Identifies technical risks, issues, and opportunities. Develops and executes plans for risk mitigation, issue resolution, and opportunity capture.
  3. The ability to work independently under minimum supervision as well as in a team environment, and to be able to adapt to a changing work statement, is necessary.
  4. Partners closely with technical Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) across the enterprise to resolve technical challenges.
  5. Effectively navigates complex certification efforts, working with FAA and EASA appointed personnel.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing integrated technical projects or teams

Nice to have

  • Aircraft modification programs experience
  • Aerospace industry experience within Avionics, Electrical, Software, Cabin Systems, Inflight Entertainment Systems, or Electro-Magnetic Effects
  • FAA and/or EASA certification requirements experience

  • Boeing’s Organization Delegation Authorization (ODA) procedures experience
  • Boeing’s Design Organization Approval (DOA) procedures experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Boeing Commercial Airplanes drawings, documents/procedures, manuals, and Service Bulletins
  • Boeing commercial aircraft platforms experience
  • Experience providing briefings to senior and executive level management
  • Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development
  • Ability to lead and uphold a culture of proactive safety, first-time quality, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to quickly learn and work autonomously with limited supervision

  • Advanced knowledge and familiarity with Boeing Commercial Airplanes drawings, documents/procedures (i.e. BPM, BPI, etc.), manuals (i.e. AMM, CMM, etc.), and Service Bulletins
  • Experience with Boeing commercial aircraft platforms
