Description
We are Northrop Grumman Australia. Our 800 strong team is leveraging unparalleled global resources to deliver sovereign Defence capability aligned to the Government’s priorities across Aeronautics, Mission Critical Systems, Space and Guided Weapons. As we build our business and our capabilities, we are also developing a reputation as a great place to work. Help us define what is possible for our nation and for your career.
Your Role
We are actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex upgrade activities across the MQ‑4C Triton program, based at Edinburgh, Adelaide.
This role is about turning system change into reality. You’ll own end‑to‑end delivery of medium‑ to high‑complexity projects that introduce upgrades across aircraft, ground systems and Defence networks. You will be balancing cost, schedule, risk and operational impact while keeping multiple stakeholders aligned. The challenge isn’t planning in isolation; it’s integrating change into a live operational environment without disrupting mission outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities **
In this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver multiple concurrent upgrade projects, owning scope, cost, schedule, risk and quality
- Plan, manage and integrate system changes across air, ground and Defence network environments
- Balance operational schedules and integration timelines, making informed trade‑offs when priorities collide
- Engage and influence a broad stakeholder group including Defence, engineering, networks, suppliers and internal program teams
- Establish and maintain strong project governance, reporting rhythms and decision forums
- Identify emerging risks and dependencies early, resolving issues before they become delivery blockers
- Lead integrated project teams and drive accountability for outcomes, not just activity
About You
You’re an experienced Project Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of complexity, scale and delivery.
You’re comfortable taking ownership of outcomes, even when the environment is ambiguous or fast‑moving. You can translate technical change into clear impacts on schedule, cost and operations, and you’re confident engaging senior stakeholders when alignment is needed. Defence experience helps, but what matters most is your ability to plan rigorously, make decisions, and keep projects moving forward in a highly governed environment.
You’ll bring experience managing complex projects, strong judgment under pressure, and the credibility to lead integrated, multi‑disciplinary teams.
**What we Offer **
We have built our benefits to help you define your possible.
- Professional Development – further education, leadership development, professional industry memberships and unlimited access to a range of online training
- Purchased annual leave – 2 weeks
- Salary packaging including novated car leases
- Generous paid parental leave – 18 Weeks
- Volunteer and enhanced Reservist Leave
- Health & Wellbeing program
- Employee Assistance Program
