Senior Project Manager, Pre-construction

This role is for a Senior Project Manager focused on the pre-construction phase of hyperscale data center projects. The individual will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, design coordination, site evaluation, procurement, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance to ensure projects are meticulously planned before construction begins. The company is an AI infrastructure company, but this role is focused on the physical construction management, not AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Direct the entire pre-construction lifecycle, managing project flow from conceptual design through the commencement of onsite construction.
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, multi-million dollar budgets, and detailed risk assessments to ensure project viability and success.
  3. Lead collaboration between architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all designs are optimized for efficiency, cost, and constructability.
  4. Conduct thorough site investigations and feasibility studies to validate infrastructure readiness and environmental compatibility.
  5. Lead the preparation of complex bid packages, manage the competitive bidding process, and perform deep-dive analysis of contractor proposals.
