Figure AI, an AI Robotics company, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to define and implement an internal quality plan for manufacturing humanoid robots. The role involves leading technical investigations, collaborating with vendors, utilizing statistical process control, and authoring risk assessment documentation to improve yield rates and ensure product quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and execute comprehensive Quality Plans for complex electro mechanical assemblies.
  2. Lead deep-dive technical investigations into manufacturing deviations and field failures using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone analysis.
  3. Collaborate with external vendors to ensure components meet strict dimensional and material specifications; conduct on-site audits and process sign-offs.
  4. Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and data analytics to monitor production health and drive yield improvements.
  5. Act as the quality voice during New Product Introductions (NPI), influencing design for manufacturability (DFM) and ensuring successful SOP (Start of Production).
