Senior Regional Marketing Manager, India

This role is for a Senior Regional Marketing Manager in India for GitLab, an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps. The primary focus is on crafting integrated campaigns, developing and executing field marketing strategies, and driving pipeline growth. The role involves working closely with sales and other cross-functional teams, managing marketing budgets, and analyzing campaign performance. While the company embraces AI as a productivity tool, this specific role is in marketing and does not involve building or shipping AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Take full ownership of your India regional marketing initiatives, creating detailed and strategic program plans
  2. Contribute to APJ-wide marketing strategy discussions, bringing India market intelligence, competitive insights, and actionable recommendations to leadership
  3. Design and execute ABM programs targeting enterprise accounts in India, working closely with Sales and BDR/SDR teams to identify and prioritize target account lists
  4. Continually experiment, test and iterate programs to define best practice and evolve program as the business grows
  5. Analyze and report on the impact and performance of regional marketing to a range of audiences, from local leadership to the executive level and tailor the insights accordingly

Skills

Required

  • Experience in the B2B tech industry with a focus on field marketing, working directly with sales teams
  • Understanding of both physical and digital marketing and what is the right channels for the India market
  • Ability to manage and hold accountable external agency partners — including briefing, QA, and performance evaluation
  • Experience managing larger marketing budgets with direct accountability to sales leadership on pipeline contribution
  • Ability to translate market dynamics and customer insights from India into strategic recommendations
  • Experience delivering on both third-party and owned events
  • Data-driven, using data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development
  • Ability to travel up to 25% and comply with the company’s travel policy.
  • Able to coordinate across many teams and iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, especially in large enterprise environments
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to distill down complex ideas in a variety of mediums (including content, decks, meetings)
  • Proficient with marketing automation and CRM tools such as Marketo and Salesforce
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources across tactics.
  • High EQ and an excellent relationship builder, with the ability to secure resources and get buy-in from stakeholders
