This role is for a Senior Revenue Accountant at Google Cloud, focusing on end-to-end financial reporting for subscription offerings. Responsibilities include managing complex revenue streams, partnering with Product and GTM teams, driving automation, implementing internal controls, and collaborating with FP&A. What you'd actually do

  1. Manage end-to-end accounting for Cloud Subscription offerings, ensuring complex revenue streams and backlogs are reported with technical accuracy and timely precision under ASC 606 standards.
  2. Partner with Product and GTM teams to provide operational guidance for new launches, ensuring commercial strategies align with internal control standards and financial reporting requirements.
  3. Drive growth by identifying financial risks early in the lifecycle. Design and implement robust internal controls and process documentation to mitigate risks in a high-growth environment.
  4. Collaborate with FP&A and Strategy Operations to enhance system capabilities. Act as a subject matter expert to align interdependencies and optimize performance across the Finance organization.
  5. Drive automation of manual activities and lead UAT for revenue system enhancements, while providing sophisticated reporting and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making for senior leadership.
