Senior Revenue Accountant

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to manage revenue recognition processes, ensure compliance with ASC 606, and assist in the design and testing of automated solutions for revenue processes. This role involves contract review, month-end close activities, and collaboration with auditors, supporting the integration of Fivetran and dbt Labs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting), in compliance with ASC 606
  2. Perform ongoing contract review of closed deals and ensure appropriateness of revenue inputs for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  3. Assist in tracking and assessing non-standard revenue contracts, as needed, for appropriateness of revenue recognition
  4. Draft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting judgmental revenue recognition positions, ensuring conclusions are well-documented and audit-ready
  5. Prepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution

Skills

Required

  • 5-8 years of combined experience in revenue and/or public accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606
  • Experience working in high-growth, SaaS companies
  • Advanced Excel skills and work with large datasets
  • Meticulous and well-organized
  • Passionate about process, continuous improvement, and leveraging technology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
  • Confidence and curiosity for new learning experiences
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
