Skydio is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to design, integrate, and validate wireless solutions for their autonomous drone products. This role involves defining wireless architecture, leading cellular hardware integration, and ensuring product compliance through certification and production. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in cellular hardware development, RF system integration, and debugging complex wireless systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate closely with EE, RF, antenna, mechanical, ID, and systems teams to optimize end-to-end wireless system performance
  2. Define system-level wireless architecture, requirements, specifications, and performance targets
  3. Design, integrate, and validate wireless solutions across multiple radio technologies and frequency bands, including LTE/5G cellular systems
  4. Lead cellular hardware integration efforts from early architecture through bring-up, debugging, optimization, certification, and production ramp
  5. Drive RF coexistence and desense analysis across tightly integrated wireless subsystems

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
