Senior RF Design Engineer at RTX responsible for the design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters, and the design and optimization of RF circuits. The role involves working with interdisciplinary teams, schematic capture, RF routing, and providing technical support during production transitions. Requires a STEM degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
  2. Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
  3. Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
  4. Schematic capture and RF routing.
  5. Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.

Skills

Required

  • STEM degree
  • 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test
  • MATLAB

  • ADS, SystemVUE and/or MentorGraphics' Xpedition
  • translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications
