Senior RF/Microwave and Antenna Subsystems Engineer role at RTX, focusing on the design, modeling, realization, and verification of advanced ultra-wideband phased arrays and multi-function RF/Microwave subsystems for defense applications. Requires technical leadership, system requirement derivation, architecture development, and collaboration with software, firmware, and digital hardware engineers. Experience with RF analysis software, test equipment, and troubleshooting is essential. Mentorship of junior engineers and contribution to technical proposals are also key responsibilities. Requires an active US government security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide technical leadership on the design, modeling, realization, and verification of advanced ultra‑wideband phased arrays.
  2. Work with a multidisciplined team to derive RF/Microwave and Antenna performance requirements (EIRP, G/T, P1dB, IP3, VSWR, etc.) from system functional requirements.
  3. Develop RF/Microwave and Antenna subsystem architectures to meet performance and Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) requirements .
  4. Work with software, firmware, and digital hardware engineers to shape digital array backend requirements and architectures (ADC, DAC, FPGA and Processor resources, etc.).
  5. Use RF/Microwave analysis software to design and predict performance of RF/Microwave and Antenna subsystems.
