This role is for a Senior RTR Accountant in Warsaw, Poland, responsible for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, preparing statutory financial statements, reviewing account reconciliations, and supporting global financial reporting processes. The role requires ensuring compliance with audits, SEC, and SOX guidelines, and cooperating with various stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively performing assigned tasks and processes within accounting area applying US GAAP, including management accounts and forecasting,
  2. Oversee accounting close process together with outsource providers, provide guidance to the BPO team and support troubleshooting and problem solving during month end close,
  3. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal control environment as applicable,
  4. Preparation of the periodical management reports, BS Flux and SEC schedules, reconciliations including applicable regular analyses and metrics as well as ad hoc reporting,
  5. Cooperate with the Studios EMEA BPO offshore team in India seeking out process improvements and standardization opportunities to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness,
  6. Work on resolving any intercompany discrepancies within the group,
  7. Oversee outsource provider for the timely completion and accuracy of account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy,

Skills

Required

  • Graduate in Finance, Accounting
  • Proven experience in an accounting role in the area of GL and a strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP preferred)
  • Prior work experience in large international company
  • Strong technical skills including deep understanding of ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office applications, Excel in particular is a must
  • Very good written and spoken English is a must
  • Detailed-oriented with a strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics
