This role is for a Senior Salesforce Engineer at DeepL, an AI company. The position focuses on building and maintaining an AI-enabled Salesforce platform that supports global go-to-market operations. The engineer will use AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude Code daily to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and analysis, and will be expected to challenge existing approaches and introduce new, more efficient ways of working. The role requires strong Salesforce development skills (Apex, LWC, Flows), API/integration experience, and an AI-native mindset.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build across Apex, LWC, Flows, and integrations
  2. Use AI tools to: Accelerate development (code generation, refactoring)
  3. Produce clear, structured design artefacts before building
  4. Design robust, observable integrations
  5. Contribute to DevOps, documentation, and delivery standards

Skills

Required

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (minimum)
  • Strong Apex, LWC, and data modelling capability
  • Proven experience designing scalable Salesforce solutions
  • Experience with APIs and integrations
  • You already use tools like ChatGPT or Claude Code in your daily workflow
  • You can clearly explain: Where AI helps, Where it doesn’t, How it changes your approach to engineering
  • You can explain complex systems simply
  • You can walk through trade-offs clearly
  • You can defend your decisions
  • You think in systems, not tickets
  • You consider scale, failure modes, and maintainability
  • You design before building

Nice to have

  • Quote-to-Cash / subscription billing experience
  • DevOps tooling (e.g. Gearset, Copado)
  • Experience in high-growth or compliance-driven environments
