Senior Sde, Opensearch, Aws Opensearch

Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · Santa Clara, CA · Software Development

This role is for a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Amazon OpenSearch Security team. The primary focus is on designing, developing, and supporting security features for a cloud-scale distributed log analytics and search platform. While the role mentions "AI-powered workloads" and "intelligent retrieval engine" in the context of OpenSearch's evolution, the core responsibilities are centered around platform security, data storage, query optimization, and performance, rather than direct AI/ML model development or deployment. The role involves working with complex system software and contributing to both the AWS service and the open-source project.

  4. Work on challenging problems in areas such as data storage, query optimization, JVM performance optimization, security, machine learning and more.
  5. You will join a team that values strong intuition, but seek metrics and other data sources to back up their assumptions.
