Senior Security/badging Technician - Afternoon Shift

This role is for a Senior Security/Badging Technician responsible for general security operations, facilitating security badging, and providing first-level support for access and video control systems. The technician will coordinate employee security badge clearances, monitor alarm systems, operate security equipment, and assist with investigations and audits. The role involves handling sensitive personal and classified information.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinates and prioritizes employee security badge clearances and maintains the photo identification database.
  2. Coordinates alarm system monitoring across multiple offices. Acts as an intermediary between the alarm system vendor local office supervisors. Ensures the design and documentation of system monitoring meet compliance requirements.
  3. Operates security systems and equipment. Engages in investigations and due diligence reporting for site security issues.
  4. Provides project support for the assigned security function. This includes preparing security documentation for internal processes and for internal/external audits.
  5. Implements pre-established emergency action plans when necessary. Ensures compliance with the security system between local offices and vendors for alarm system monitoring.

Skills

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years of related security administration experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient with security system access control (C-Cure) applications
  • Proficient with CCTV/IP Video (Exacq) applications
  • Software House CCURE certification
  • Exacq video certification

Nice to have

  • Basic system database import/export knowledge
  • Reporting through SQL
  • Associate’s/bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office applications
