About Team The Social Media & User Operations Manager will be responsible for building PICO’s digital presence and fostering a high-growth user community in the U.S. market. You will sit at the intersection of content creation and community management, turning everyday users into brand advocates and ensuring PICO is a trending topic in the XR space
Responsibilities
- Social Strategy & Execution: Develop and manage PICO’s U.S. social media calendar across TikTok, X (Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube.
- User Growth & Retention: Design and execute "User Ops" campaigns (challenges, giveaways, and beta-testing programs) to increase Daily Active Users (DAU) within the PICO ecosystem.
- Community Building: Lead the engagement strategy on platforms like Discord and Reddit, acting as the primary bridge between PICO’s engineering team and its power users.
- Content Production: Collaborate with internal creative teams and external creators to produce "Mixed Reality" (MR) captures and viral-ready video content that showcases PICO’s hardware.
- Data & Sentiment Analysis: Monitor community sentiment and social analytics to provide weekly "Voice of the User" reports to the Global Product and Marketing teams.
- Trend Jacking: Identify and pivot on real-time cultural trends to keep PICO relevant in the fast-moving tech and gaming conversation.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- +3 years in Social Media Marketing or User Operations, ideally within the Gaming, Tech, or Entertainment industries.
- Native-level fluency in leading short-form video platforms and community-building ecosystems, with a deep understanding of engagement algorithms, viral trends, and modern moderation practices.
- Proficient in industry-standard video editing software and digital content creation, with a proven ability to translate complex technical features into compelling visual narratives.
- Copywriting skills with a "brand voice" that is authentic, witty, and tech-savvy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of growing a community from "zero to 100k+" members through organic and viral strategies.
- Experience working within a Global/Asia-based tech firm; ability to align U.S. community trends with global brand directives.
- knowledge of social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprout Social) and user retention metrics (LTV, Churn, NPS).
- Experience directing "Mixed Reality" content creators to showcase the immersive nature of VR on 2D social feeds.
