Position Overview
Autodesk continues to expand its cloud-native infrastructure and AI platform capabilities to support rapid growth in applications and services. The Infrastructure AKS solution now supports a significantly increased number of apps/services, including production and development environments, as well as AI-related platforms such as PDMS MCP servers, Langfuse, and n8n. To maintain reliability, accelerate automation, and support upcoming projects (Inventor automation system, Inventor GitHub migration), we are seeking a DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will help us scale, automate, and secure our Kubernetes (AKS) and AI infrastructure, enabling developers and platform users to be more productive and resilient.
Responsibilities Collaborate with product, platform, and AI engineering teams to design, implement, optimize, and support AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) and CI & Automation platforms for a growing portfolio of cloud-native and AI-enabled applications and services. Own day-to-day operations across CI, Automation, and AI infrastructure, including troubleshooting, incident response, vulnerability remediation, and reliability improvements. Leverage AI and AI agents to modernize CI & automation platforms, significantly reducing manual operational work across: build and deployment pipelines service and front-end development workflows public cloud infrastructure management security scanning and vulnerability remediation Apply AI-driven monitoring, observability, and automation to proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve system issues, ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance. Response for onboarding and operational support for new initiatives, including Infrastructure AI Agents, MCP-based automation, and large-scale GitHub migrations. Design, implement, and operate AI-assisted runbooks, self-healing workflows, and intelligent automation to improve operational efficiency and developer productivity. Perform access administration, troubleshooting, and ticket management for AKS clusters and related Azure cloud resources. Maintain and continuously improve CI and Automation systems, cloud images, and overall infrastructure health with a strong focus on automation-first and AI-enhanced operations. Minimum Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred) and container technologies (Docker). Excellent development and scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Shell, and/or Groovy. Solid experience with Azure cloud services (VMs, storage, networking, databases). Proven experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar). Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Packer. Strong troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ownership in incident response and operational excellence. Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana, Kibana, Splunk, New Relic). Hands-on experience using AI coding and productivity tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate development and automation. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, AI services, or AI-enabled developer infrastructure in production environments. Practical experience designing or operating AI agents, skills, or LLM-driven automation for infrastructure, CI/CD, or DevOps workflows. Exposure to large-scale build, integration, and test systems supporting complex software products. Strong experience with Git and GitHub, including enterprise-scale repositories and workflows. Experience with microservices architecture and front-end development workflows. Familiarity with AWS or other public cloud providers in addition to Azure. Basic knowledge of C++ or experience supporting C++ build environments. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar project and collaboration tools. Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
