Amazon Amazon · Big Tech · North Reading, MA · Software Development

Senior Software Engineer role focused on developing autonomy software for warehouse robots, specifically perception and localization. Involves integrating sensors, developing sensor fusion and SLAM techniques, and building machine learning capabilities for robotic perception. Also includes optimizing performance and building frameworks for data replay and resource management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Developing machine-learning capabilities and infrastructure for robotic perception and localization.
  2. Developing software for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) shared across a robot fleet.
  3. Developing sensor fusion techniques for obstacle detection and localization.
  4. Evaluating and integrating new sensors into the autonomy software stack.
  5. Optimizing runtime performance of autonomy algorithms by exploiting underlying hardware acceleration capabilities.
