What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement infrastructure software that integrates robotic systems into the Amazon Fulfillment Cloud network, enabling seamless communication between on-site robots and cloud-based services
  2. Build and deploy scalable software systems that enable robots to operate reliably and effectively across multiple fulfillment center locations, supporting both new site launches and ongoing fleet expansion
  3. Develop and maintain monitoring, fault detection, and simulation systems that ensure robotic fleet reliability and performance at scale—including metrics pipelines, anomaly detection, and automated alerting
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams—including roboticists, hardware engineers, data scientists, and operations stakeholders—to integrate all components of the robotic stack into cohesive, production-ready solutions
  5. Conduct testing, code reviews, and architectural planning to ensure systems meet reliability, scalability, and operational excellence requirements across the full software lifecycle

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
