Senior Software Engineer

UiPath UiPath · Enterprise · Bucharest, Romania · Engineering

UiPath's Platform Engineering team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build internal infrastructure and tooling for their hybrid cloud compute fleet. The role involves developing software and tooling to make these systems self-managing and easy to consume, enabling engineering teams to ship faster and with more confidence. Responsibilities include developing tooling for datacenter compute consumption, provisioning and managing virtual machines, providing compute backbone for pipelines and testing, exposing datacenter capacity as an elastic fabric, automating host lifecycle, and improving the reliability, observability, and performance of the virtualization layer. The role also contributes to centralized initiatives like Automated Sign-Off and performance testing, and builds tooling for standardizing development practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop tooling that empowers engineering teams to consume datacenter compute as easily as a managed cloud service.
  2. Build services that provision, configure, and lifecycle-manage virtual machines on bare metal using virtualization technologies.
  3. Provide the compute backbone for pipeline runs, end-to-end and automated testing at scale.
  4. Expose our datacenter capacity as a single elastic fabric that internal workloads can schedule against on demand.
  5. Automate the full host lifecycle as code; bring-up, hypervisor configuration, networking, storage, and decommissioning.
