Senior, Software Engineer

Walmart · Retail · Bentonville, AR +2

Senior Software Engineer role focused on building and deploying multi-agent AI systems for enterprise use cases at Walmart. The role involves designing, building, and iterating on agentic systems, working directly with business stakeholders, and ensuring high uptime and response times. Requires strong coding skills, systems design expertise, and experience with LLM frameworks and multi-agent orchestration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, build, and deploy 3–5 major agentic systems per year using modern LLM frameworks and multi‑agent orchestration.
  2. Translate business requirements, SOPs, and operational workflows into production‑grade technical solutions.
  3. Work directly with store managers, FC/DC operators, and Home Office stakeholders to identify high‑impact use cases and validate solutions on‑site.
  4. Own the end‑to‑end system lifecycle — discovery → architecture → deployment → iteration — maintaining 99.9% uptime and <2s response times.
  5. Drive 70%+ adoption within target user groups through associate‑centric design.
