Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Infrastructure, Gbo Engineering

Google Google · Big Tech · London, United Kingdom

Senior Software Engineer to architect and build agentic infrastructure for unifying fragmented business domains, enabling agents to perform multi-hop reasoning and tool execution using RAG and LLM orchestration for customer context and autonomous action plans.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement a unified middleware that abstracts workflows across domains, enabling agents to perform multi-hop reasoning and tool execution.
  2. Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation and Application Programming Interface abstractions that pull real-world signals from existing data sources to provide agents with a high-fidelity "Customer 360" context.
  3. Establish the engineering standards for agent orchestration within the team, including prompt engineering versioning, evaluation frameworks, and cost or latency optimization.
  4. Partner with Engineering Leads and Product Managers to shape the roadmap for agentic automation.
  5. Write and review code, ensuring the agentic infrastructure meets Google-scale latency, security, and compliance standards.
