This role is for a Senior Software Engineer focused on building and maintaining the backend platform infrastructure, abstractions, and tooling that supports application deployment, authentication, and API services. The engineer will also be responsible for optimizing distributed systems, architecting plugin systems, creating desktop application infrastructure, implementing authentication/authorization, and ensuring comprehensive observability. The role involves monitoring performance, responding to incidents, and gathering customer feedback.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend platform infrastructure, abstractions, and tooling that supports application deployment, authentication, and API services.
  2. Build and optimize distributed systems that enable rapid application development and deployment across the organization.
  3. Architect and implement plugin systems and extensibility frameworks to build upon the platform.
  4. Create and maintain cross-platform desktop application infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
  5. Design and implement robust authentication and authorization systems and automated testing strategies, and evaluate, integrate, and maintain authentication solutions.
