The Chrome Web Store (CWS) Platform & Storefront team is on a mission to steward the operational integrity and product excellence of the Chrome Web Store. We ensure the store meets the highest standards of regulatory compliance, enterprise reliability, and storefront functionality. Our team delivers the robust infrastructure and rigorous testing required to meet global mandates, providing the foundational bedrock that allows the Chrome ecosystem to scale safely for all users and enterprises.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software for the Chrome Web Store platform and storefront.
- Lead the technical design and implementation of major features and architectural improvements.
- Scope and break down complex technical problems, analyzing alternatives and recommending solutions that balance short-term needs with long-term platform health.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact features.
- Identify and remediate recurring problems, simplifying and standardizing existing solutions.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with browser development or web standards.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Java, Kotlin or Typescript.
