We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Warsaw. Our team manages one of the world’s most sophisticated, planet-scale data processing infra product. This infrastruction solution is the backbone of Alphabet, powering foundational AI/ML features related to YouTube or Search, and next-generation AI initiatives. You will be shaping the direction of this product.
In this role, your primary objective is to advance the schedulability and autotuning capabilities of our data processing infrastructure. These optimizations are critical for supporting both massive-scale ML pipelines and standard data processing workloads. You will bridge the gap between complex infrastructure and the cutting-edge products that rely on it.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions.
- Address technical challenges that require significant expertise or span multiple systems and stakeholders.
- Work with mission critical customers on their schedulability challanges.
- Analyze performance data and design data driven solutions.
- Promote a team environment by mentoring engineers and contributing to organizational success.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience with coding and software design.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience designing and implementing Machine Learning (ML) architectures.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with data structures and algorithms.
