What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex features and significant components within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) hybrid connectivity products. Drive projects from concept to launch with minimal oversight, balancing short-term needs with long-term architectural health.
  2. Architect, design, and implement highly scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems for hybrid cloud networking. Make sound technical judgments with ambiguity and proactively identify opportunities for system improvements.
  3. Collaborate with and influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams, including product management, site reliability engineering, and other networking teams within GCP
  4. Act as a technical mentor for engineers (L3/L4), providing guidance on design, implementation, and best practices.
  5. Ensure the production health, monitoring, and on-call support for hybrid connectivity services. Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, observability, and supportability, potentially leveraging AI/ML for enhanced operational insights.
