The P2020 Rollouts team plays a critical role in delivering Google Cloud services to dedicated partner environments. Having successfully enabled the on-time handover of the first Google Cloud Dedicated (GCD) instance, we are expanding our efforts.
As more GCD instances are planned, we are investing in a core team to re-architect our platform. This role is key to building a system capable of managing continuous deployments of production changes across multiple, dedicated instances of the Google Cloud stack for our partners. This work is essential for scaling GCD offerings.

Responsibilities
- Write and test product or system development code.
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Go, Python, or Java).
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience with large-scale distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in developing and troubleshooting large-scale cloud platforms.
- Experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Familiarity with Go and using AI/ML to increase software engineering productivity.
