Senior Software Engineer, Search Quality, Ai/ml

Google Google · Big Tech · New York, NY +1

Senior Software Engineer role focused on building and integrating generative AI capabilities into Google Search for financial insights. The role involves leading technical execution for connecting third-party tools and agents, developing scalable Generative UI, and integrating user signals to deliver personalized financial information with high factuality and utility.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead technical execution for connecting external third-party tools and partner agents into our AIX orchestration layer utilizing the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  2. Build scalable, low-latency Generative UI capabilities on top of Core Search Next platforms (including MaRS, Agency, and GenUI framework) to transform raw financial output into actionable, interactive user experiences.
  3. Integrate Zero-Party (0P), First-Party (1P), and Third-Party (3P) user signals to deliver tailor-made financial insights while setting new standards for strict factuality, multi-turn conversation context, and high-utility helpfulness.
  4. Identify engineering gaps, set technical roadmap priorities, and guide initiatives from initial discovery through production deployment.
  5. Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners (Product Management, User Experience, Research, Quality Leads, and External Partner Integration teams) to align technical goal with product strategy.
