This role is for a Senior Software QA Engineer responsible for testing software and firmware products, including hardware-in-the-loop testing. The role requires experience in Linux/Windows environments, Git, bug tracking systems, and strong debugging skills. Familiarity with Python, automated testing frameworks, and LLMs is preferred. The company utilizes AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion in its products.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software & firmware products
  2. Perform thorough functional, regression, and user acceptance testing with hardware-in-the-loop
  3. Identify, document, and track software/firmware defects
  4. Collaborate with developers to debug issues and verify fixes
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Testing in Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with Git and common platforms like Github or Bitbucket
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
  • Strong debugging, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt & contribute to changing priorities
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Nice to have

  • Basic proficiency in Python or other coding languages
  • Familiarity of automated testing frameworks such as Pytest
  • Automated UI testing tools like Playwright or Selenium is a plus
  • Experience writing or analyzing code with LLMs (e.g., Claude Code, Codex)
