Senior Software Systems Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Santa Clara, CA +2 · Remote

Senior Software Systems Engineer for NVIDIA's Autonomous Vehicles team, focusing on developing and productizing SAE Level 2-4 driver assistance and self-driving technologies. The role involves architecting solutions, characterizing vehicle interactions for system training, driving verification activities, and analyzing data to inform design decisions. Requires strong systems engineering, robotics, or integration experience, with a preference for AI tooling and automotive standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, evaluate, and build architectures for SAE Level 2 to Level 4 driver assistance and self-driving vehicle technologies
  2. Characterize autonomous vehicle interactions relative to vehicle requirements to drive data collection for system training and verification
  3. Drive autonomous vehicle system verification activities, including architecture and design verification, test strategy development working with the System Integration & Verification Test Leads, and reviewing and prioritizing test results
  4. Lead and communicate data analysis, working with product and engineering teams to drive design decisions relative to requirements and system behavioral needs
  5. Develop methods to analyze and compare the impact of ODDs on relevant performance metrics, translating data and analysis into impactful recommendations
