Senior Solution Architect

Honeycomb Honeycomb · Enterprise · United States · Remote · Sales

This role is for a Senior Solution Architect at Honeycomb, a company focused on observability tools. The primary responsibility is to drive technical sales motions for mid-market to enterprise accounts, leading discovery, solution design, and technical conversations. The role involves defining success criteria, running POCs, and engaging with engineering leaders on observability best practices and AI-era workflows. While the role mentions leveraging AI tools and AI-assisted workflows, the core function is solution architecture and technical sales, not direct AI/ML model development or research. The company is in the enterprise software space, and the role focuses on how their observability platform integrates with and supports modern engineering practices, including those involving AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the technical sales motion on a portfolio of mid-market to enterprise accounts across AMER, partnering closely with sales to drive deals forward.
  2. Lead discovery, solution design, and technical conversations that connect Honeycomb’s platform to real engineering and business priorities, from first call through close.
  3. Drive the technical win. Define success criteria, run POCs, navigate competitive evaluations, and build stakeholder confidence with engineering teams and technical buyers.
  4. Engage with engineering leaders, platform teams, and SRE organizations on observability best practices and AI-era workflows.
  5. Translate complex customer environments into clear architectures and solution narratives that resonate with both hands-on practitioners and technical decision-makers.
