This role is a Senior Solutions Consultant for DeepL, an AI product company specializing in language and voice translation. The consultant will act as a local technical expert and strategic advisor to customers, bridging the gap between DeepL's AI features and customer needs to drive adoption and satisfaction. Responsibilities include technical discovery, tailored demos, designing and executing POCs, partnering with Account Executives, and handling customer-facing communication, including executive stakeholders. The role requires experience in pre-sales, SaaS/AI companies, APIs, SSO, and enterprise security/compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive technical discovery and deliver tailored demos, presentations, and prototypes that map DeepL's Language AI and Voice platform to customer business goals and integration needs.
  2. Design, scope, and execute POCs and proof-of-value engagements across DeepL's full Language AI platform - including Voice for Meetings, Conversations, and API - demonstrating how DeepL fits into complex enterprise workflows.
  3. Partner with Account Executives throughout mid-to-high complexity sales cycles, providing guidance on APIs, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), real-time streaming, and enterprise security and compliance requirements.
  4. Own customer-facing communication and relationships during the sales cycle, including with executive stakeholders, and proactively support multithreading across departments
  5. Surface field feedback to Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to help improve solution offerings and positioning.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of client-facing technical experience in a Solutions Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or Pre-Sales role at a SaaS or AI company.
  • A track record of independently leading complex pre-sales engagements, building technical credibility with prospects, and contributing to deal closure.
  • Good technical foundation across REST APIs, authentication and SSO frameworks (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Azure AD), and common SaaS integration patterns.
  • Ability to adapt solutioning to different customer types and sales stages, from deep technical discovery to executive value conversations.
  • Confidence driving RFI/RFP processes independently and addressing enterprise security and compliance topics in customer conversations.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to present technical value to both business and technical audiences.
  • Fluency in English and Dutch is required
