This role is for a Senior Solutions Engineer at Grafana Labs, a company focused on open-source observability tools. The primary responsibility is to act as a customer-facing product expert, enabling growth by educating potential and existing customers through demos, enablement, presentations, and technical evaluations. The role involves partnering with the Sales team to articulate the Grafana value proposition, own technical engagements, and provide customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams. Key activities include delivering presentations, driving product conversations based on customer needs, and contributing to enablement materials like documentation, blog posts, and videos. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, preferably with open-source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring space, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with our Sales team to articulate the overall Grafana value proposition, vision and strategy to customers
  2. Own the technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill and credibility
  3. Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers
  4. Effectively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on our products and the competitive landscape
  5. Drive product conversations based on need and problems with customers
  6. Work with the team to enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles and create other public or private enablement material
