Senior Sourcing Manager for mechanical components and assemblies in consumer electronics, focusing on NPI, supplier management, cost optimization, and supply continuity.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead mechanical sourcing for NPI and sustaining programs, including supplier selection, RFx execution, and award recommendations across key commodities (enclosures, stamped parts, CNC, injection molded parts, die cuts, soft goods)
  2. Drive end-to-end commercial negotiations, including pricing, tooling/NRE, payment terms, lead times, capacity commitments, and E&O/liability
  3. Partner with Engineering to align design requirements with supplier manufacturing capability, DFM feedback, and risk mitigation
  4. Lead supplier onboarding including capability assessments, audits, qualification plans, and readiness reviews
  5. Establish and manage supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness) and structured business reviews (QBRs/MBRs)

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in consumer electronics and/or supply chain, including mechanical sourcing and supplier management
  • Strong experience sourcing mechanical components such as CNC, injection molding, stamping, MIM, and surface finishing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs with competing priorities and tight timelines
  • Proven negotiation skills across unit cost, tooling/NRE, contracts, and supply agreements
  • Experience supporting NPI builds (EVT/DVT/PVT or equivalent) through ramp and mass production
  • Strong analytical skills including cost modeling, data-driven supplier evaluation, and scenario planning
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence cross-functionally
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving structure across multiple work streams
  • Ability to travel ~25% domestically and internationally
