Senior Specialist Global Sourcing & Contracting

This role is not AI-related as it focuses on global sourcing and contracting within a biopharmaceutical company. The responsibilities include planning capacity, managing projects, contract management, and risk assessments, with required skills in business, finance, and supply chain management. AI/ML is not a core component of this position.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for planning the capacity of the hub to ensure that all tasks and activities can be effectively distributed and managed.
  2. Partner closely with other Hub Planners and Hub Leads across all 4 Sourcing & Contracting hubs globally to ensure effective operations.
  3. Collaborate with peers from other S&C Hubs to ensure knowledge sharing and independent day-to-day operations.
  4. Develop and maintain relevant process knowledge articles, category cards, and training materials.
  5. Identify opportunities and define requirements for system enhancements, partnering with process excellence, Ariba, and IT organizations to test and deliver them, ensuring successful deployment through change management and communication processes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of Sourcing and/or Contracting experience.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of business processes supported by transaction processing capabilities.
  • Fluency in English language plus French.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint at a minimum).
  • Enhanced knowledge of SAP Ariba system.
  • Enhanced knowledge of compliant sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.
  • Strong customer service mindset.
  • Global and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes.
