This role is for a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer focused on substation projects within an AI infrastructure company. What you'd actually do

  1. Support the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including technical design and material specifications.
  2. Contribute to the design and specification of electrical systems for large-scale power projects.
  3. Develop and review high-fidelity technical documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure "production-ready" designs.
  4. Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant safety standards, local/national codes, and global regulations.
  5. Manage the end-to-end procurement of specialized electrical equipment, working closely with vendors to ensure quality and lead-time requirements are met.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in industrial environments, with a preference for experience in power generation and distribution
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, control systems, and electrical safety standards
  • Experience with electrical equipment design, procurement, and installation
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and regulations (e.g., NEC)
  • Proven ability to be a contributing member in a high performing team
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Flexibility to travel to field locations up to 25%, or as required
  • Safety-sensitive position designation
