The Senior Strategic Healthcare Partner at Pfizer is responsible for strengthening the organization's leadership within the Canadian healthcare ecosystem by fostering strategic partnerships with key healthcare organizations. This role focuses on enabling pharmacist-led care models, advancing public health priorities, and supporting sustainable pharmacy practice through compliant engagement, advocacy, and policy-aligned initiatives. The partner will co-create enterprise-level B2B agreements and strategic frameworks to improve patient identification, access, and care delivery, while also driving quality improvement initiatives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the pharmacy profession subject matter expert within the organization
  2. Act as the main point of contact with pharmacy associations to: Gather insights, Identify collaboration opportunities, Support advancement of pharmacy practice
  3. Monitor and assess changes in pharmacist scope of practice across Canada, including: Prescribing rights, Therapeutic substitution, Expanded clinical services
  4. Provide guidance and recommendations to internal stakeholders on the feasibility and impact of pharmacy‑focused initiatives
  5. Collaborate closely with: Retail Pharmacy team, Market Access, Medical and other cross‑functional teams

Skills

Required

  • Relevant University Degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated record of success with a minimum of five years of pharmaceutical or healthcare experience in a customer‑facing or strategic partnership role
  • Independent, self‑starter with a proven ability to work in a cross‑functional team environment
  • Strong business acumen and an excellent understanding of healthcare and pharmacy market trends and dynamics
  • Ability to quickly engage senior stakeholders with the goal of becoming a trusted advisor
  • Superior customer and partnership management skills and competencies
  • Highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent understanding of the elements and processes around Quality Improvement (QI) work
  • Project management and delivery experience
  • Demonstrated strategic planning abilities with a strong understanding of healthcare and pharmacy system optimization
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to manage change and ambiguity
  • Proficiency using computer software and digital collaboration tools
  • Must have the capacity to frequently travel
