Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager, Amazon Private Brands

This role is for a Senior Strategic Supply Chain Manager at Amazon Private Brands. The primary focus is on owning supply chain strategy and execution for import-heavy portfolios, optimizing availability, speed, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include managing inventory health, auditing buying and forecasting models, driving process improvements, and identifying cost optimization initiatives. The role involves partnering with global and cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven decision making, and utilizing AI-powered tools for monitoring and automation. While AI tools are used, the core craft is supply chain management, not AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own end-to-end supply chain performance for Hardlines Private Brands, including inventory health metrics (in-stock rates, operational inventory holdings, working capital efficiency) and Operations Cost-to-Serve targets for both B2C and B2B customers.
  2. Partner with Amazon Private Brands Sourcing Team and Origin Supply Chain team to drive operational excellence improvements with Asia-based vendors, optimizing production and delivery lead-times across international supply chains.
  3. Monitor and own KPIs including Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound Lead Time, Purchase Order confirmation rates, and operational excellence metrics, presenting insights and trends to Senior Leadership.
  4. Audit buying and forecasting models to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  5. Collaborate with Business Managers and central APB teams (Product Business Intelligence, Business Intelligence Engineering, Supply Chain Tech) to leverage tools and insights for data-driven decision making.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of with Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience working with complex data sets
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
  • Experience with SQL
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
