Senior Strategy & Operations Manager (process Excellence)

This role focuses on building and scaling operational infrastructure and vendor management for Uber Eats Japan, aiming to improve merchant success and business performance through strategic procurement and process excellence. It involves designing systems, overseeing vendor relationships, identifying bottlenecks, and creating end-to-end processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and scale the foundational systems and automated fulfillment workflows that govern our supply chain, ensuring seamless data integrations and infrastructure that evolves with the business.
  2. Build and oversee a performance-driven vendor governance framework. You will lead the relationship strategy for critical third-party partners to ensure they meet Uber’s high standards for quality, reliability, and operational excellence.
  3. Identify operational bottlenecks and lead strategic projects to remove friction from the merchant journey, implementing scalable solutions that improve how partners interact with our products and services.
  4. Act as the central hub across Sales, Finance, and Operations to design and iterate on end-to-end processes. You will define the data-driven logic and reporting frameworks that provide real-time visibility into the health of our local procurement and vendor ecosystem.

Skills

Required

  • Bilingual Communication (Japanese Native, English Business)
